Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Event Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated tasks within the kitchen. The Chef De Partie will work closely with the Snr Sous Chef, Head chef and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook according to specified recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Carry out the daily operations as instructed by senior members of the team, within the kitchen, ensuring all food is prepared efficiently and safely.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for replenishment to the sous chef or head chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and preparation during busy periods.
- Support the training of junior staff or apprentices where applicable.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen event environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and presentation standards.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team setting.
- Previous event catering experience is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is crucial.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak times while maintaining attention to detail.
