CAD/CAM Programmer

About the Role
AK Stainless Ltd is looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and nesting components using TruTops software for our Trumpf laser machines.

Key Responsibilities
- Create efficient nests using TruTops.
- Maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
- Prepare production-ready programs to meet delivery schedules.
- Liaise with the sales and production teams to ensure jobs are programmed with the deadlines.
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of programming processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience using TruTops or similar CAD/CAM nesting software.
- Experience programming Trumpf laser cutting machines is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
