HGV FITTER / HGV MECHANIC WANTED
£40,000–£46,000 PER YEAR
£18.00 PER HOUR TO START
We are looking for an experienced and capable HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. The role will involve working on a variety of commercial vehicles, with a particular focus on 7.5-tonne HGV horseboxes.
THE ROLE You will be responsible for:
Carrying out Ministry Inspections
MOT preparation and rectification work
Servicing and repairs to all makes and models
Maintenance and major overhauls
Fault finding and diagnostics
Road testing vehicles
Taking vehicles to test stations
Following repairs from initial fault analysis through to completion
Working efficiently and safely within a busy workshop environment You will need to be confident undertaking all levels of maintenance and repair, from routine servicing through to more complex mechanical work.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Fitter
Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs independently
Full UK driving licence
Class 2 HGV licence
Good understanding of HGV maintenance and repair
Ability to work as part of a busy workshop team
Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
WHAT WE OFFER

£40,000–£46,000 annual salary
45 hours per week Optional Saturday mornings
20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
