We are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school community in North Northamptonshire. In this role, you will be central to creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will work closely with class teachers to deliver personalized learning programs—with a key focus on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)—ensuring every child receives the tailored support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom & SEND Support: Assist the teacher in delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons. Provide individualized learning, behavioral, and emotional support to pupils with SEND.
Personalized Learning: Help implement tailored learning plans and adapt activities to suit unique learning needs, fostering independence and confidence.
Pupil Supervision: Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and non-teaching periods to ensure a safe, respectful environment.
Collaboration & Progress: Work alongside teachers, specialists, and parents to monitor progress, contribute to assessments, and attend reviews.
Classroom Management: Assist in organizing learning resources and preparing engaging classroom activities.
Safeguarding & Ethos: Uphold the school’s core values of respect and individualized care while strictly adhering to safeguarding and confidentiality policies.
