About the client: Our client is a lovely lady living in the Swiss Cottage area who enjoys the simple pleasures in life and values meaningful companionship.
She has a keen interest in literature and reading books and enjoys taking in the scenery and surroundings of the area where she lives. She also likes to keep up to date with current affairs and enjoys watching the news.
We are looking for a Hungarian-speaking Care Assistant who can communicate with her in her preferred language and provide warm, friendly companionship alongside supporting her care needs.
The ideal carer will be kind, patient, reliable and compassionate, with a genuine interest in getting to know the client and supporting her to enjoy her interests and maintain her independence and having experience in dealing with mental health and knowing how to deal with situations that may occur.
Summary
'Live-in Carer' is a vital role within our team, dedicated to offering continuous, compassionate care to individuals with mental health needs in their own homes. Based in Camden, Hampstead, or Golders Green, this position allows you to make a meaningful difference while supporting our company's values of kindness and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized mental health support and companionship to clients in their homes.
- Assist with daily activities, including medication management and emotional support.
- Monitor clients' mental health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain detailed records of care provided.
- Follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for clients.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure holistic care.
- Uphold the dignity and independence of each client.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in mental health or caregiving roles is preferred but not essential.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undertake training relevant to mental health support.
- Basic first aid knowledge is advantageous.
- Flexibility and reliability.
