We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team, delivering the commissioning of busbar trunking systems across a portfolio of high-profile, industry-leading projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out full commissioning of low voltage (LV) and/or high voltage (HV) busbar trunking systems in line with manufacturer specifications and project requirements
- Perform inspection, testing, and verification of busbar installations in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition)
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, and thermal imaging checks as part of the commissioning process
- Complete and sign off commissioning documentation, test certificates, and handover packs
- Identify and resolve faults or non-conformances during the commissioning process
- Liaise with site management, principal contractors, and client representatives throughout the commissioning programme
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in full compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
- Complete permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) as required
- Report progress and provide accurate as-built records
Essential Requirements
Valid electrical qualification/ticket, such as:
- ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) Gold Card, or equivalent JIB-graded card
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition BS 7671 Wiring Regulations qualification (current)
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) desirable
Experience and knowledge:
- Proven experience commissioning busbar trunking systems (e.g. Schneider Canalis, Siemens, GE, Legrand, or similar)
- Sound working knowledge of UK electrical safety legislation and best practice, including:
- Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
- BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations
- HSE Guidance Note GS38 (Electrical Test Equipment)
- Full understanding of safe isolation procedures and permit-to-work systems
Other requirements:
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent site safety card)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to various sites nationwide
Desirable
- HV authorisation/switching experience
- Previous experience on data centre, industrial, or large commercial projects
- First Aid at Work certificate
- IPAF/PASMA certification

Pay: £48,000.00-£62,000.00 per year
