Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living,and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients through attentive and respectful care. Previous experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, hospice, or general caregiving is highly desirable. Duties
- Provide personalised care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for individuals with specific dietary needs
- Engage in behaviour management strategies to support clients with dementia or behavioural challenges
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ wellbeing
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with mobility, including lifting when necessary and safe transfer techniques
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s, dementia, hospice, and senior care best practices
- Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is advantageous
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential
- Ability to perform lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required; a caring attitude is a must
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or caregiving are beneficial but not mandatory
