We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our small professional team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in their own home care, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a supportive environment for those in our care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity by encouraging participation in daily routines.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each resident.
- Drive to various locations for home care assignments, ensuring safe transportation for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits.
- Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and communication within the team.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
