New Formation Education is recruiting for a number of mainstream secondary schools across South West London and Surrey, looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to join their teams for the new academic year.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate, a tutor, sports coach or youth worker looking to gain classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with students aged 11-18 while building valuable experience in education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support students across a range of subjects including English, Maths, Science and Humanities.
- Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups to help students achieve their potential.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs within mainstream classrooms.
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Help maintain a positive, focused classroom environment.
- Adapt your support to meet the needs of different students across Year 7 to Year 11, with some opportunities to support Sixth Form.

SEN experience is beneficial but not essential.

Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support learning across a range of subjects.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
