Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in project management and engineering while contributing to innovative engineering solutions. As a Graduate Project Engineer, you wil project manage the introduction of new customer manufacturing projects (NPI) and provide the necessary on going manufacturing engineering support to those projects.
This paid position is ideal for recent graduates eager to launch their careers in engineering and make a meaningful impact through technical excellence and problem-solving.
Responsibilities and objectives:
In general, you must lead New Product Introduction projects, production efficiency improvements & wider problem-solving activities:
- Use appropriate project management techniques to ensure manufacturing projects are on time, within budget and meet the set customer requirements.
- Participate in cross functional project teams and ensure that all project phase requirements are met.
- Become a person of significant knowledge regarding production lines you have implemented, being an important source of information post-implementation.
- Lead manufacturing continuous improvement activities to enhance safety, efficiency and cost.
- Keep up to date with new technologies and techniques and promote best practice.
- Use appropriate problem-solving methods to document and track manufacturing improvements that are made and effectively communicate with all stakeholders of the improvements.
- Engage in wider facility projects from an engineering perspective.

Skills and/or experience
Essential:
- Use and understanding of project management tools and techniques.
- Use and understanding of standard problem-solving tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent data-driven approach to development and problem-solving.
- Strong ability to produce clear written reports.
- Strong ability to communicate and report to various levels of hierarchy.
- Strong ability to navigate and use commonplace computer hardware and software.
- Proactive and comfortable with hands-on engineering work.
Desirable:
- Experience in an engineering/manufacturing/production environment.
- Use and understanding of injection moulding machines / automation / robots.
Qualifications:
- At least a UK Qualification Level 4 (HNC, Level 4 Diploma) in an Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
