Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food production and hospitality, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily food production activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance and support to optimise performance
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen operations to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a positive working environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premises
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and minimise waste
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure adherence to health and safety policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, or related hospitality roles
- Prior management or supervising experience within a restaurant or kitchen setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
- Experience in restaurant management or culinary supervision is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Barista experience is considered an advantage but not essential
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
