Caterer – Weekend & Event Catering
Grange Park Sports Club, Wetherby
We’re looking for a reliable, organised and hands‑on Caterer to lead weekend matchday catering and deliver high‑quality food for private functions at Grange Park Sports Club. This role suits someone who enjoys fast‑paced service, takes pride in presentation, and can work independently while maintaining excellent standards.
Weekend Catering Duties
- Saturday Breakfast Service — Prepare and serve breakfast sandwiches for players, supporters and early visitors.
- Saturday Luncheon Catering — Provide a committee luncheon for the 1st team, alongside supporters’ snacks and rugby post‑match meals.
- Sunday Catering — Deliver breakfast sandwiches and post‑match snacks including chicken & chips, sausage & chips and hot dogs.
Event & Function Catering
- Funerals — Sensitive, well‑presented buffet catering.
- Birthday Parties — Flexible menus for family celebrations.
- Christenings — Daytime catering suitable for mixed‑age groups.
- Meetings — Light refreshments, sandwiches and hot drinks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver food to a consistent, high standard across all weekend and event services.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness in all kitchen and serving areas.
- Manage stock, ordering, and waste efficiently.
- Provide friendly, professional service to players, supporters and private clients.
- Adapt menus and service styles to suit different events and audience needs.
- Work independently and confidently during busy matchday periods.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in catering, hospitality or food preparation.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and customer‑service approach.
- Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit to weekend work.
Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
