The service is operated by NBG Healthcare Limited, a care provider with a clinical leadership team grounded in decades of primary care, regulatory, and complex nursing experience. We are looking for a experienced Healthcare assistant to join our care team at our Chestnut Rise Nursing Home (purpose-built, 21-bed residential care facility delivering 24-hour residential nurse-led care to adults with complex needs).
The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those in their care, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a caring attitude. You must be able to commit to a minimum of 37.5 hrs and must be willing to work any day of the week including late and early morning shifts (7 AM start), afternoon shifts(3PM start), late shifts (up to 11 PM start) and weekend shifts
You’ll need: At least 1 year experience of caring professionally or for a loved one.
The ability to comfortably assist clients with limited mobility is a important requirement.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to an effective skill mix for delivering personalised care for our residents.
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management.
- Supporting individuals with their care plans, ensuring personalised needs are met effectively.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and friendly environment.
- Assisting with light domestic tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities when required (driving skills essential)
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and adapt to individual needs.
- IT literacy for maintaining records and documentation.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients or running errands on behalf of clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and respectful approach towards clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including occasional weekends or evenings if needed

Pay: £12.82-£25.00 per hour
