We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and wants to develop their career in a quality hotel environment. You will work across our restaurant, bar, private dining, weddings and events, helping us deliver the attentive yet relaxed style of service for which Ballathie is known.
We are looking for personality as much as experience. If you are warm, confident, well presented, hardworking and naturally enjoy looking after people, we would like to hear from you.
The Role

- Preparing the restaurant, bar and private dining areas before service
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and confidently
- Serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner
- Providing bar and drinks service
- Learning our menus so that you can confidently explain dishes and ingredients to guests

- Clearing, resetting and maintaining tables throughout service
- Ensuring excellent presentation and cleanliness throughout all Food & Beverage areas
- Assisting with weddings, private dinners, functions and special events
- Preparing function rooms and tables according to event requirements
- Processing guest bills and ensuring all charges are recorded correctly
- Responding positively to guest requests and helping resolve minor concerns quickly
- Communicating effectively with the kitchen, bar, Guest Relations and other hotel departments
- Following food hygiene, health and safety and responsible alcohol-service procedures
- Supporting colleagues during busy periods and helping wherever required
- Contributing ideas that can improve service and the overall guest experience
Who We Are Looking For
Previous hotel, restaurant or bar experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential for the right person. Full training can be provided.
More importantly, we are looking for someone who:

- Remains calm and positive during busy services
- Is willing to learn about food, wine and professional service
- Is comfortable speaking with guests from the UK and around the world
- Is flexible and understands that hotel hospitality includes evenings, weekends and holidays
