About The Role
We’re looking for skilled, reliable Electricians who take pride in delivering high quality work and excellent customer service. As part of our Direct Services team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our homes safe, compliant and well maintained for our residents. You’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical repairs, maintenance and testing across our properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Working within our Reactive Repairs team, you’ll manage your own workload day to day, using a ‘right first time’ approach to deliver a responsive and reliable service. You’ll also keep residents informed throughout, ensuring a positive customer experience at every stage.
This is a field based role, and you may be required to support across different locations where needed. You’ll also take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rota on a fair and planned basis. The position will require occasional out of hours work, which will add to your earnings.
About you
You’re a qualified Electrician with a strong work ethic and a focus on delivering great service. You’re confident working independently, but equally comfortable supporting colleagues and working as part of a team.
You will need:
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g. 2391) or willingness to work towards
- Experience carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance and testing in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and electrical compliance requirements
- The ability to diagnose faults and deliver a ‘first time fix’ wherever possible
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work professionally and sensitively with residents, including those who may be vulnerable
- A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends with reasonable notice and take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rota
- You must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than six points and with no serious motoring offences in the last 10 years (i.e., CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, MR, TT). You must also have a minimum of two years driving experience. We will undertake driving licence checks on the successful candidate as part of our standard pre-employment checks process.
About the team
You’ll be part of our Direct Services Reactive Repairs team, delivering a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to our residents, including emergency, routine and responsive works.
Our teams work closely together to provide a responsive, efficient and high quality service, ensuring our homes remain safe, secure and comfortable.
