Duties
- Operate HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) road sweeper trucks safely and efficiently along designated routes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
- Clear debris, dirt, and litter from roads, industrial yards, and commercial premises using specialized sweeping equipment
- Follow scheduled routes and delivery plans accurately, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, including route completion, vehicle maintenance, and safety checks
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates or operational issues
- Assist with minor vehicle maintenance or report repairs needed to ensure continuous operation
Requirements
- Valid HGV driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or similar heavy vehicles
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or operating road sweeping machinery is highly desirable
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for operating large vehicles on public roads
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or evenings as required
