Richmond Hill Breweries is looking for an experienced, hands-on Relief Operations Manager to support our growing estate of pubs and hotels across the Midlands, Worcestershire and Shropshire.
This isn't your typical pub manager role. You'll be the person who steps in when we're needed most keeping businesses running smoothly, supporting our teams, launching exciting new venues and helping new managers succeed.
As this is a relief position, you will be required to live on-site at the venue you are supporting for the duration of each assignment.
Whether you're covering annual leave, supporting a newly appointed manager, overseeing a management transition or helping launch a new venue, you'll become part of that team until the assignment is complete.
Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to travel and stay away from home across our estate in the Midlands, Worcestershire and Shropshire is essential.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll play a vital role across our business by:
- Providing management cover during holidays, sickness and vacancies.
- Leading venues through management transitions.
- Supporting the opening and launch of new pubs, bars and hotels.
- Training, mentoring and developing newly appointed managers during their first few weeks.
- Maintaining high operational standards across every venue.
- Supporting recruitment and inductions where required.
- Driving sales, profitability and exceptional customer service.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, food safety and health & safety legislation.
- Working closely with our Operations Team to continually improve performance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a General Manager or Multi-Site Manager within hospitality.
- Can confidently walk into any venue and quickly take control.
- Is highly organised and adaptable.
- Leads from the front and enjoys coaching others.
- Has excellent financial awareness, including labour, stock and profit management.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and is happy travelling across our estate.
- Can work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
