Domestic Staff/Cleaner
We are looking for good Domestic Assistant/Cleaner to work at our 33 bed nursing home in Dorking, Surrey. The home is situated in a beautiful location and has a friendly and long standing team of staff working together in a family like environment.
The Role
To work as part of a team maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home. Displaying empathy and positivity when communicating with residents as part of the day-to-day role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cleaning the interior of the home, rooms , dining areas, lounges, toilets, sinks, staff room, bathrooms, stairs, vents, windows. All general cleaning including deep cleans around the home.
- Cleaning residents rooms, dusting, mopping the floors.
- Steaming and vacuuming carpets and upholstery.
- Emptying bins as per segregation of waste.
- Checking cleaning material stock levels and replenished stock.
- Successfully working under pressure and meeting time deadlines.
- Following Health and Safety (HSE) guidelines on use of chemicals .
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
- Adhering to COSHH Hand health and safety regulations
- Interacting with residents and providing excellent customer service.
- Simple maintenance of cleaning equipment
- Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities.

Required Experience and Qualifications
Experience of working with Nursing Home as a Domestic Staff.
