Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Skilled Ground Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with ground maintenance, site preparation, and general labour tasks on construction or landscaping projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with ground preparation, including digging, trenching, and levelling surfaces
- Operate basic tools and machinery under supervision, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support the installation of fencing, drainage systems, and other site infrastructure
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies as required on-site
- Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure project specifications are met
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks throughout the working day
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and machinery safely
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to understand instructions clearly
- Willingness to learn new skills related to ground work and site operations
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or similar fields is advantageous but not essential
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable for transporting equipment or materials between sites
