Overview
We require a reliable Workshop/Yard Person, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop and yard environment, supporting daily activities that keep our equipment and facilities in top condition. Your proactive approach and hands-on skills will contribute to a productive workspace, ensuring safety standards are met and customer service remains exceptional.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, cleaning, and organisation of the workshop and yard areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Operate vehicles such as forklifts or trucks for moving equipment or materials around the yard safely and responsibly
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, including janitorial duties such as jet washing equipment, sweeping and restocking supplies
- Support the loading and unloading of equipment or materials
- Maintain a tidy work environment
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
Skills
- Clean valid driving license with experience operating various vehicles such as forklifts
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Good organizational skills to keep the workshop and yard orderly and safe
- Basic understanding of safety protocols related to vehicle operation and workspace maintenance
- Willingness to learn new skills related to equipment handling and safety procedures
