Are you an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a passion for improving quality, strengthening clinical governance and driving patient safety?
We're recruiting on behalf of a healthcare provider working in partnership with the Local Authority to support two nursing homes in Merseyside. Ideal for an experienced clinician to play a pivotal role in improving governance, safeguarding and quality standards across services.
The Role: Clinical Governance & Patient Safety Lead (RGN)
As the Clinical Governance & Patient Safety Lead, you will lead on safeguarding, incident management, complaints and care planning to ensure the highest standards of safe, effective and person-centred care.
Working closely with the Matrons and senior leadership team, you will identify areas of risk, implement improvement plans and support teams to achieve lasting change.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Governance & Patient Safety Lead (RGN)
- Lead clinical governance and patient safety across two nursing homes.
- Provide expert leadership on safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely investigation and effective risk management.
- Investigate clinical incidents, identify root causes and embed learning across the services.
- Lead the management of complaints, ensuring robust investigations and service improvements.
- Review, audit and enhance care plans to ensure they are clinically robust, person-centred and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Work alongside Matrons and Home Managers to address safeguarding and quality concerns through practical improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of governance processes, audits and quality assurance frameworks.
About You: Clinical Governance & Patient Safety Lead (RGN)
We're looking for a confident and experienced clinical leader who can quickly assess services, identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively to deliver meaningful change.
- Current registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
- Significant experience in Clinical Governance, Patient Safety and Safeguarding.
- A strong understanding of CQC regulations, quality assurance and clinical compliance.
- Experience investigating incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns.
- An excellent clinical eye for detail with the ability to identify risk and implement practical solutions.
- Strong leadership, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to engage teams at all levels.
- Experience reviewing care plans, clinical documentation and governance processes.
- Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently while building positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
