Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join <PERSON> homes. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to individual needs, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Experience in care environments, such as care homes or home care settings, is preferred. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community visits or outings.
Duties
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting residents with medication administration as per care plans
- Monitoring and recording residents’ health status and reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Engaging residents in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Maintaining accurate documentation using IT systems for care records
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure personalised care
- Following health and safety procedures diligently to create a safe environment for all
- 30 min deducted lunch break
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining electronic care records
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to drive is beneficial for roles requiring community visits or outings
- Knowledge of care plans and understanding of individual resident needs is advantageous

Pay: £24,420.00-£31,063.98 per year
