Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Takeaway team member to join our busy food service operation. This role involves preparing, packaging, and delivering high-quality takeaway meals to customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble takeaway orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all meals meet quality standards
- Handle food preparation tasks including cooking, portioning, and packaging meals in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards at all times
- Assist in serving customers at the counter or via delivery platforms as required
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly and stock levels are monitored regularly
- Follow hygiene protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely order completion and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers and team members
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and food service
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends if required
