Join our vibrant team at a franchised sushi kiosk (Asian Corner) inside Morrisons supermarket! We craft fresh, high-quality sushi daily and are looking for an experienced, reliable sushi maker to join our team. Key Requirements — Must Have
- Previous sushi-making experience essential (minimum 6 months)
- Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (Catering) — required before starting
- Available to start work as early as 5:00am — required to be ready before supermarket opening hours
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble all sushi items following franchisor recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Meet daily production and sales KPIs (set by the franchisor) — this is a mandatory performance requirement
- Maintain immaculate cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the kiosk at all times
- Monitor ingredient freshness, stock rotation, and waste control — minimise food waste
- Strictly follow all food safety, HACCP, and supermarket hygiene policies
- Track daily sales against targets and take initiative to improve performance where needed
- Assist with stock checks, ordering, setup, and full clean-down at the end of each shift
- Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and represent the brand professionally
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working in a sushi kitchen or kiosk
- Confident working independently and as part of a small team
- Physically fit — standing for full shift, lifting stock, repetitive preparation work
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to excellent standards
- Available to work weekends and peak periods (Friday–Sunday)
Terms & Benefits
- Contract type: Part-time — flexible to suit the right candidate
- Hours: 20-30 hours(Each shift approximately 10 hours)per week, including weekends
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate (£13.00–£14.00/hr based on experience)
- Training: Full training provided

- Probation Period: 3 months— performance, attendance, and KPI targets will be reviewed during this period. Successfully completing probation confirms permanent employment.
- During probation: 1 week's notice required on either side.
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time), including Bank Holidays, calculated in accordance with UK law.
- Break: 30 minutes unpaid break per working day for shifts of 6 hours or more, scheduled at a mutually agreed time outside peak trading periods.
- Staff Meal: Complimentary staff meal provided during break — up to £15 value per shift, available only during your scheduled unpaid break.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
