Due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to develop new client relationships and grow our presence across the recruitment, construction and labour supply sectors.
Please note: We are seeking an experienced sales professional with a proven background in the UK umbrella payroll and/or CIS payroll sector. Applicants must have direct market experience and an established industry network.
The Role
This is a new business sales role focused on generating and converting opportunities for our umbrella payroll and CIS payroll services.
You will be responsible for identifying prospective clients, building strong relationships with decision-makers and managing the full sales process from initial contact through to onboarding.

Recruitment agencies
Construction contractors
Labour suppliers
Facilities management businesses
Security companies
Logistics providers
Temporary workforce employers
Key Responsibilities
Generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activity
Build relationships with recruitment agencies and construction sector clients
Conduct virtual and face-to-face sales meetings
Present payroll, umbrella and CIS solutions to prospective customers
Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline
Negotiate commercial agreements
Work closely with operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities
What We're Looking For
Essential
Proven sales experience within the UK umbrella payroll and/or CIS payroll market
Strong understanding of umbrella payroll, CIS compliance and contractor payroll solutions
Experience selling services to recruitment agencies, labour suppliers, contractors or construction businesses
Existing network of recruitment agencies, construction clients and labour providers
Demonstrable track record of generating and winning new business
Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, target-driven and capable of working independently
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required
Desirable
Experience selling outsourced payroll, workforce management or compliance services
Knowledge of Agency Worker Regulations, off-payroll working and wider temporary labour market compliance
Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline
Understanding of employee benefits platforms and workforce engagement solutions
Experience selling value-added services such as employee benefits, wellbeing programmes or workforce technology solutions
