We are Colombia Coffee Roasters, a family-run specialty coffee company sourcing, roasting and serving single-origin Colombian coffees since 2012. We are based in Oxford, where all our coffee is roasted in-house and served through our cafés, roastery and online store.
Sustainability, traceability and long-term relationships with producers are at the heart of everything we do. We work directly with coffee farmers across Colombia, many of whom we have partnered with for years, to ensure high quality, consistency and responsible farming practices.
From sourcing in Colombia to roasting in Oxford and serving in our cafés, we manage the full coffee journey to deliver freshness and quality in every cup.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Assistant to join our team at our Wheatley roastery café.
This is an on-site role based at our Wheatley shop.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer experience, and has strong attention to detail. You should be friendly, calm under pressure, and consistent in the way you work.
An interest in specialty coffee is a plus, but what matters most is attitude, reliability, and the ability to create a welcoming and professional environment for every customer.
Your Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Deliver friendly, welcoming and professional customer service at all times.
- Take orders and serve coffee, drinks and light food items.
- Support daily café operations and ensure smooth service.
- Keep the café clean, tidy and well organised throughout the day, including customer areas and service stations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all work areas, including opening and closing cleaning tasks.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Follow all company procedures and operational standards to ensure consistency, quality and hygiene across the café.
- Handle payments and operate the till system accurately.
- Support stock rotation and basic café inventory tasks.
- Work as part of a team to ensure a great customer experience.
Requirements
You have these skills and experience:
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Friendly, reliable and positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Interest in coffee and food culture is a plus.
