As a Runner, you will play an important role in delivering the high standards our guests expect at Midsummer House, a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant. You are the link between the kitchen and the restaurant, helping every dish reach the correct table quickly, safely, and beautifully presented.
Your main job is to take food from the kitchen to the correct table. You will also help keep the kitchen service area clean and organised, polish crockery and cutlery, prepare tea and coffee, and complete daily cleaning and preparation tasks.
This is an active role, so you will spend most of your shift on your feet. You will mainly work behind the scenes in the kitchen but will also speak with guests when serving dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables.
- Work closely with the chefs and Front of House team.
- Polish and organise crockery and cutlery.
- Keep the kitchen service area clean, tidy, and well stocked.
- Complete daily cleaning and preparation checklists.
- Prepare tea and coffee during service.
- Help the team deliver exceptional service to every guest.

Proposed Working Pattern-
This job is based on 20 hours per week.
Shift allocation is between Wednesday,Friday, Saturday and Thursday each week. Flexibility within the rota is required.
Typical Shift Times:
- 11:00am – 5:00pm
- 6:00pm – 12:00pm
Should trading levels support it, we would look to increase your contracted hours accordingly.
Additional Hours: Any hours worked beyond your contracted schedule would be paid separately at your normal hourly rate.
A legal right to work in the UK is required, and no visa support can be offered.
Pay: £13,218.40-£17,218.40 per year
