Job Summary
The Support Worker will provide compassionate, person-centred care to an elderly lady in her own home, promoting her independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing. The role involves delivering high-quality personal care and practical support in accordance with the individual's care plan, preferences, and assessed needs.
The Support Worker will assist with all aspects of personal care, including washing, Shower dressing, and oral hygiene, They will ensure the individual's comfort, safety, and privacy are maintained at all times while encouraging independence wherever possible.
The role requires accurate record keeping, reporting any changes in the individual's physical or mental health, and communicating effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and the management team where appropriate. The Support Worker must follow safeguarding procedures, infection prevention and control practices, moving and handling guidance, and all organisational policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will demonstrate kindness, patience, reliability, and respect for confidentiality. They will work in a manner that upholds the individual's rights, choices, cultural values, and personal preferences, ensuring care is always delivered with dignity, compassion, and professionalism.

Duties

- Experience
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or supporting older adults is desirable, although training will be provided for the right candidate. A caring attitude, reliability and a genuine passion for supporting elderly people are essential.
