Mirai Energy Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading property maintenance contractor delivering planned works and void refurbishment programmes across social housing.
This is a commercially focused role working within a Schedule of Rates environment, supporting the surveying, pricing, valuation and commercial management of works across a long-term maintenance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site surveys for planned maintenance and void refurbishment works.
- Prepare scopes, specifications and cost estimates.
- Measure, price and value works using NHF / SM7 Schedule of Rates.
- Manage variations, valuations and commercial risks.
- Review drawings, client requirements and subcontractor quotations.
- Support cost control and commercial reporting.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and pricing documentation.
- Work closely with operational teams, contract managers and client representatives.
- Ensure works comply with contractual, regulatory and health & safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous Quantity Surveying, commercial or estimating experience within social housing, maintenance, voids or planned works.
- Strong knowledge of NHF / SM7 Schedule of Rates.
- Experience working with measured term contracts and SOR-based pricing.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good Excel and commercial systems experience.
A construction-related HNC, HND or degree would be advantageous.
