Jem Recycling – Hygiene Operative Based within ALPLA Packaging
Jem Recycling is looking for a reliable, flexible and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our team within the ALPLA Packaging site.
The role will be primarily based within the warehouse and production areas, ensuring these areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake general cleaning duties across other areas of the site, including offices and washrooms, as required.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning duties including sweeping, brushing, mopping, vacuuming and wiping down surfaces.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Removing waste and ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy and free from debris.
- Cleaning offices, washrooms and other designated areas of the site as required.
- Following all site health and safety procedures and cleaning requirements.
- Reporting any hazards, defects or issues to the appropriate person.
- Working effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
- Carrying out any other reasonable cleaning and housekeeping duties required to maintain the site to a high standard.

We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of cleaning duties.
- Comfortable working within a busy warehouse and production environment.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Safety-conscious with good attention to detail.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 3:00pm

Pay: £13.23 per hour
