Do you enjoy working with children and want a rewarding part time role in a warm, supportive environment? Beeches Park Day Nursery is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic School’s Out Assistant to help create a safe, fun, and welcoming space for children after the school day ends.
We collect children from a local primary school using our electric minibus and bring them back to our nursery setting in Stretton, where afternoons are filled with play, creativity, and relaxation. A driving licence is desirable but not essential for this role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting fun, age-appropriate after-school activities, including games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
- Helping children unwind and enjoy their afternoons in a safe and caring environment
- Supervising children to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times
- Supporting with light snacks and refreshments
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in working with children aged 4–11
- Experience in childcare, schools, or playwork (helpful but not essential)
- A caring, reliable, and energetic approach
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
- Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete training)
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Hours: Split shifts of 7.30-9am, and 2.30pm–6.00pm, Monday to Friday
