Job Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity within the Anaesthetics department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS
Trust. The post is suitable for those with an interest in General Anaesthesia service provision requirements.
The post holder will be expected to be flexible in their approach to working patterns, undertaking theatre
work on any site when required. Any changes will be discussed before implementation and the PA allocation reviewed if they have a significant impact on the time commitment required. Enthusiasm and a
strong commitment to the training and education of trainees and other staff members are also expected.
The Trust has a comprehensive programme of leadership mentoring available for newly qualified Consultants.
Key responsibilities
· To provide an intermediate level of clinical responsibilities with consultant cover
· Maintenance of high-quality patient centred care
· Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
· Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
· Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and
· directorate clinical governance activity
· Active participation in continuing medical education
Details about the roles:
- Speciality: Anaesthetics - Consultant
- Location: Lister, Stevenage
- Days per week: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
- Payment method: PAYE We do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies

Minimum Requirements
- Valid GMC
- Right to work in the UK
- Clinical attachment complete – We do not offer placements in the NHS
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a UK NHS anaesthetic post
- FRCA or equivalent
- Advanced Life Support Certificate or equivalent
- Ability to provide 3 Years NHS references
