An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Engage Knowsley Young People’s Service as a Childrens and Families Worker supporting children and young people affected by another person’s drug and/or alcohol use.
As an Children and Families Worker, you will provide confidential one‑to‑one support to under‑18s, delivering interventions and education through creative and emotional wellbeing activities. Using a young person‑centred approach, the role empowers young people to navigate challenging situations and build safer, healthier lives.
Where: Knowsley
Hours: 37.5 per week
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities:
About the role:

To holistically support Children & Young People affected by another person's substance use, using a range of interventions including group work, 1:1 work, safety planning and safeguarding

Identifying and responding effectively to potential safeguarding issues.

Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to young people and the wider community.

Working with children & young people to support positive, holistic outcomes in relation to their health and wellbeing, enabling them to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives: reducing risk and increasing resilience

Working flexibly in the community and across sites where required

Delivering training to professionals and partner agencies to improve understanding of the Impact service and how it supports children and young people.
