Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our specialist implant practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventative dental implant care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall oral health of our patients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a friendly team environment, utilising advanced dental technology and techniques. The successful applicant will possess a strong understanding of anatomy, medical imaging, and CAD applications relevant to dental procedures.
Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of patients' teeth
- Take and develop dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures with precision and care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with health regulations
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments to ensure a safe working environment
- Utilise CAD software for designing dental restorations or appliances when required
- Monitor patient comfort levels throughout procedures and provide reassurance as needed
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in dental technology and techniques
Requirements
- recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited programme
- Proven experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for new graduates
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, especially oral structures, to ensure precise care delivery
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry
- Experience with CAD applications relevant to dental design is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Organised, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety standards
we have two roles one in the New Forest SP5 and one in Bournemouth BH1
