Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Stylist to work alongside Morgan in the salon. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a flair for grooming, ensuring each pet receives exceptional care and a professional finish. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where animal welfare and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. The Pet Stylist will be responsible for providing grooming services that meet the highest standards while creating a comfortable experience for pets and their owners alike.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out full grooms, bath & brush appointments and finishing work to an exceptionally high standard.
- Grooming a variety of breeds and coat types confidently and independently.
- Providing every dog with a calm, positive grooming experience.
- Maintaining excellent grooming notes and communicating clearly with owners.
- Delivering outstanding customer service from check-in through to collection.
- Cleaning and resetting your workspace between dogs.
- Helping keep the salon clean, organised and professional throughout the day.
- Managing your time efficiently without compromising quality.
- Representing The Hound Lounge with professionalism, kindness and pride.
What we‘re looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years’ professional grooming experience.
- Someone confident completing full grooms independently.
- High grooming standards with excellent attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for dog welfare.
- Someone who enjoys learning and developing their skills.
- A calm, patient approach with both dogs and owners.
- Friendly, reliable and professional.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
- Level 3 qualification preferred but not essential if experience demonstrates a high standard.
- Hand stripping experience would be a bonus but isn’t essential.

Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
