Quality Engineer
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £40,000–£55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

An established international engineering and manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join its Quality team at its High Wycombe headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a global organisation that supplies engineered components to a wide range of manufacturing industries.
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet customer and industry quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Working closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams, you'll help drive product quality, resolve technical issues and contribute to the successful introduction of new products. (LinkedIn)
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve customer and supplier quality issues.
- Manage and update customer and supplier quality claims.
- Coordinate and review quarantine and non-conformance activities.
- Review technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Support product testing, validation and sample approval processes.
- Assist with APQP activities including feasibility reviews and contract assessments.
- Prepare and maintain PPAP and FAIR documentation.
- Analyse quality data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Coordinate inspection activities and support the inspection team.
- Participate in internal and global quality meetings.
- Assist with customer visits, supplier development and continuous improvement projects.
About You
You'll have experience working within a manufacturing or engineering quality environment and enjoy solving technical problems while working collaboratively with customers and suppliers.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
Desirable
- Experience with fasteners, engineered components or precision manufacturing.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP and FAIR documentation.
- Experience using CAD software.
- Familiarity with measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
- ISO 9001 quality management experience.
