Senior Lift Engineer / Lead Lift Engineer
Rate: Up to £25 per hour + Time and a half for out of hours and on call
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
On Call: 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 (paid at time and a half)

The Role
This is a senior position within the engineering team, where you will not only carry out service, repair, and/or installation work, but also support and lead engineers on site, setting standards and sharing expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading service, repair, or installation works across a range of sites
- Acting as a senior technical point of contact for engineers and management
- Supporting, mentoring, and guiding junior engineers
- Ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance
- Fault finding and troubleshooting across various lift types and manufacturers
- Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 3 or 1 in 4)
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced engineer who is confident both technically and as a leader.
You’ll need:
- 3+ years’ experience within the lift engineering industry (senior-level experience preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Service & Repair or Lift Installation
- A full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge across a range of lift systems and brands
- The confidence to support, guide, and lead others
- A professional, solutions-focused approach
