To be part of the Council’s Information Governance (IG) Service and assist with ensuring compliance with the Council’s IG obligations.
This role will focus on assisting with the Council’s Corporate Information Storage solutions, namely the Closed Records Store(s)(CRS).
Assist with the running of Corporate Information Storage solutions, inc. the Closed Records Store(s) (CRS) and maintaining the fabric of the CRS.
Assist with the CRS collections; including updating the records register, the physical collection of new boxes/records to be accessioned, re-boxing records as required and, physically pulling out records either for retrieval or destruction.
Support with drafting and reviewing written policies, procedures and guidance documents, specifically for the CRS Responding to, and advising on, enquiries from Services.
Experience of methodical work requiring attention to detail
2 Higher Grades or equivalent, preferably including English
Drivers Licence
Organised and adaptable
Self confident and self
Ability to undertake own administration using Microsoft office packages
High level of accuracy in work and attention to detail
Good IT skills
Appreciation and acceptance of, and commitment to, the importance of confidentiality
Effective organisational and time management
Willing to accept direction/ delegation
Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray, this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van
Ability to work with physical records; including manual handling of boxes, and ability to work at height (i.e. platformed ladder)
Manual handling of records within Closed Records Store
Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service
Ability to work in different offices/locations dependent on requirements
Ability to work in an open plan/shared office
Temporary position for 12 months
