Job Description
You will be trained to upholster all aspects of furniture including production and bespoke pieces, the final products will be fitted onto luxury superyachts which will travel the world.
Your day-to-day tasks may include:
- Planning the work, preparing patterns and templates, cutting out fabric
- Covering frames with padding and fabric using stitching, staples, tacks or glue
- Making cushions, adding trimmings like piping, fringing and buttons
- Removing old upholstery and repairing frames before re-upholstering
Knowledge and Skills
- Proactive and methodical approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Tactful with the ability to work within the boundaries of confidentiality
- Strong communication and relationship skills/ ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to prioritise a demanding workload and meet strict deadlines
- Upholding accuracy with a strong attention to detail
