About us:
We are a small 18 cover Bistro in Old Amersham serving small plates and wine with 2 AA Rosettes. Emphasis is on creativity and delivering a menu and service that is refined and convivial.
The Role:
This role is perfect for someone wanting to mould a small team and hone their ambition at an established restaurant. If you genuinely love food and drink, and are progressive in your approach then this role offers creative oversight of a beverage program, management of staff, curating an approachable service and maintaining standards as the face and personality of the dining room. We have a history of mentoring staff to encourage expression and helping them grow into a restaurant manager. 48 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday.
The right candidate must:
- Oversee Front of House staff training and management within the restaurant.
- Work with the Chef Patron to drive revenue.
- Have previous restaurant experience.
- Maintain service standards.
- Manage Front of House ordering, budgeting, and staff rotas.
- Follow the ethos of the business.
- Want to grow with the business.
It would be ideal if the candidate:
- Has WSET qualifications.
- Can progress the wine menu whilst maintaining consistency and accessibility.
- Can bring creativity and originality to developing the beverage program through novel cocktails, beers, spirits and low/no alcohol options etc.
- Has previous fine dining and/ or management experience.
- Enjoys driving revenue through specials/ menus/ nights and wants to imprint their passion onto the business through inventive offerings.
