Position Overview:
Due to retirement, The Cornish Oven is looking for a Senior Finance Administrator. We are proud to be a Cornish family company, manufacturing an iconic product in the British food culture. The last 5 years have seen our company expand and grow and we are looking for an experienced senior finance manager to support core financial operations, management accounting and budgeting. We currently employ 100 staff across various sites.
Salary: £32,000 to £45,000 pro rata depending on skills and experience
Working hours: 24-30 hours per week (could expand to full time if felt necessary) to be discussed and agreed depending on skills and experience, 8am to 2pm (4 to 5 days a week)

Key responsibilities for the role include
· Active cashflow monitoring and reporting
· Processing and managing supplier payments
· Bank reconciliations
· Expenses and credit card claims, processing staff expense claims, communicating clearly with staff if they have queries and processing company credit cards
· VAT returns
· Month end close: complete month end processes, journals, and intercompany reconciliations
· Completion of ONS surveys when necessary
· Assistance with year-end accounts queries
· Provide cover to Sales/purchase ledger when required
· Provide cover to payroll when required
· Renegotiating contracts with utility suppliers
· Process improvement: continuously assess and implement improvements to financial processes and systems for greater efficiency as the business grows
· Other ad hoc duties and reporting as required to support management
The successful candidate will have:
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, or practice experience, with demonstrated ability to take ownership of the role,
· Strong understanding of accounting principles,
· Experience of payroll processing desired,
· Experience of Quickbooks advantageous
· Excellent communication skills
· Continual improvement and efficiency mindset
· Proactive attitude
· AAT qualification or similar desirable
Pay: £32,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
