We are seeking a dedicated Residential Children's Care Worker to provide compassionate support and care for children within a residential setting. The role involves fostering a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and supervision for children in accordance with individual care plans.
- Foster positive relationships, offering emotional support and guidance tailored to each child's needs.
- Assist with daily routines including meal times, personal hygiene, and recreational activities.
- Support children in developing social skills and independence through structured activities and behavioural encouragement.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, behavioural observations, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with colleagues, social workers, and families to ensure cohesive care delivery.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, maintaining safe driving practices.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a childcare or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record is preferred for transporting children safely.
- Knowledge of child development principles and experience in implementing care plans.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines and record keeping efficiently.
- IT proficiency for maintaining documentation and communicating via digital platforms.
- Compassionate attitude with patience, resilience, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required within the residential setting.
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all areas of practice.
- Participate in sleep-ins, weekends, bank holidays and flexible working arrangements to meet service needs.
Qualifications
- Hold the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or be willing to undertake and
successfully complete the qualification within the required timescales.

Pay: £24,420.00-£38,289.58 per year
