Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV RCV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles, specifically RCV (Refuse Collection Vehicles), to ensure the efficient collection and transportation of waste materials. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety and reliability. The ideal applicant will possess relevant driving experience, including commercial driving and flatbed operation, with a commitment to delivering high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV RCVs to collect waste from designated routes in accordance with schedule and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-operational checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Load and unload waste materials efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of collections, routes, and vehicle inspections
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during daily operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding route updates or issues
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained throughout the shift
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as required
Qualifications
- Valid HGV licence
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with waste collection or similar roles
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle compliance standards
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude

Pay: Up to £39,000.00 per year
