We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on Logistics Supervisor to lead and coordinate our team of drivers. The role is responsible for overseeing, driver’s rota’s, route planning, and driver management to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of products across the business.
The successful candidate will drive operational excellence through effective team leadership, continuous process improvement, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in ensuring customer deliveries are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard while maintaining compliance, controlling costs, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the day-to-day running of logistics operations, ensuring all delivery routes are effectively planned, resourced, and executed.
· Ensure adequate driver coverage across all routes through effective rota management and workforce planning.
· Record and maintain driver hours, holidays, and sickness records using the Harri system.
· Build and maintain positive working relationships with drivers, providing support, guidance, and performance management where required.
· Resolve driver-related issues, including late deliveries, route challenges, vehicle incidents, and customer concerns.
· Work closely with the Wholesale Manager to coordinate delivery requirements for new customers and ensure smooth route integration.
· Establish delivery schedules and service requirements with new wholesale customers, communicating all relevant information to drivers and internal stakeholders.
· Monitor and optimise transportation activities using vehicle tracking system Quartix.
· Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service levels.

· Vehicle Management
· Manage fuel cards, leased vehicles, vehicle tracking systems, breakdown cover arrangements, MOT schedules, vehicle servicing, repairs, and compliance requirements.
· Coordinate with Driver Logistics Support on minor vehicle repairs, maintenance issues, and sundry supply orders.
· Ensure fleet operations remain safe, compliant, and operationally effective.
· Work closely with the Wholesale Coordinator and Wholesale & Concessions Manager to ensure effective departmental support and cover.
· Liaise with the Wholesale & Concessions Manager regarding customer service issues, delivery concerns, and operational requirements.
· Skills & Experience
· Proven experience within logistics, strong understanding of route planning, strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate, support, and develop teams.
· Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
· Knowledge of health and safety legislation within logistics and warehouse environments.
· IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
· Hold a clean driving licence
Pay: £28,275.00 per year
