Pro-Drive Recruitment is looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to help grow our HGV, transport and logistics recruitment division.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven recruiter to join a specialist recruitment business supplying reliable workers to clients across the transport, distribution, warehousing and logistics sectors.
We are looking for someone who can manage client relationships, attract high-quality candidates, develop new business and take ownership of a successful recruitment desk covering temporary and permanent placements.
We want to work with experienced, capable people who can be trusted to manage their workload effectively. The role therefore offers a degree of flexible and home working, alongside access to our office in the Bishop’s Stortford and Stansted area.
The Role
As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and developing a specialist desk focused on HGV driving, transport, warehousing and logistics.
You will support clients including haulage companies, distribution centres, manufacturers, retailers, freight businesses and third-party logistics providers.

Your Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with existing clients across the transport, distribution, warehousing and logistics sectors.
- Identify and win new business with haulage companies, distribution centres, manufacturers, retailers and logistics providers.
- Source, interview, assess and place candidates into temporary and permanent positions.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pools of HGV drivers, van drivers, warehouse operatives and logistics professionals.
- Ensure candidate documentation, licences, qualifications and right-to-work information are accurate and compliant.
- Write and advertise engaging vacancies across job boards, social media and internal recruitment systems.
- Manage the full recruitment process from vacancy intake through to placement, onboarding and ongoing worker management.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and candidates to build strong, long-term relationships.
- Support clients with short-notice requirements, seasonal peaks and ongoing workforce planning.
- Take ownership of your desk, revenue and business-development activity.
- Work closely with the wider Pro-Drive Recruitment team to deliver a professional and reliable service.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven recruitment experience, ideally within HGV driving, transport, logistics, warehousing, industrial or temporary recruitment.
- A strong understanding of fast-paced and volume recruitment environments.
- Confidence communicating with transport managers, warehouse managers, operations teams and business owners.
- Strong business-development and account-management skills.
- The ability to attract and retain reliable drivers and warehouse workers.
- Good knowledge of driver compliance, licences and working-time requirements would be beneficial.
- A proactive, organised and commercially focused approach.
- The ability to manage your own workload and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A results-driven attitude with the ambition to grow a successful recruitment desk.

Pay: £25,420.00-£85,000.00 per year
