Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

At Gretna Green, our Maintenance Team helps keep our hotels, retail spaces and visitor attractions safe, welcoming and running smoothly. We're looking for a Maintenance Technician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across our unique estate.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working closely with the Maintenance Team Leader, you'll support maintenance and improvement works while helping ensure our facilities remain safe, attractive and fully operational for guests, customers and colleagues.
What you will be doing
- Completing internal and external maintenance and improvement works.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Resolving general building fabric, plumbing and appropriate electrical issues.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers.
- Ordering materials within agreed controls.
- Completing safety, property, equipment and tool inspections.
- Using chemicals safely and maintaining COSHH records.
- Helping maintain the appearance and function of the Gretna Green estate.
What we are looking for
- Practical electrical or plumbing experience, or a relevant qualification.
- Experience fixing varied maintenance and building fabric issues.
- Good health and safety awareness.
- An understanding of planned preventative maintenance.
- A hands-on, can-do approach and good communication skills.
- Availability to work 24 hours across Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
