Part-time, 3 days a week, with the aim of moving to full-time) · £28,000/year full-time equivalent (£16,800 pro-rata for 3 days)
About the role
We're looking for an engaging, knowledgeable Sports Therapist to lead our group rehab and movement classes and provide 1:1 sports therapy and massage work, across our clinic and rehab gym in Heavitree, Exeter. If you love holding a room as much as you love working with your hands, we'd love to talk.
We're genuinely excited by tech that helps people move better. Our strength and rehab space is built around VALD force plates, and we use that data to show patients real, visible progress- not just tell them they're improving. It's a big part of why our classes work, and why our team enjoys running them.
We're also proud of the environment we've built to help people grow in this role. Full training, real mentorship, and a genuine path to develop your career with us- this is a place to build skills, not just clock in.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead our group classes, including our Rebuild class and our osteoporosis prevention programme (full training given, no prior experience needed), alongside some 1:1 sports therapy or massage work. We build our classes around explaining the why behind every movement, so patients understand what they're training for and why it matters long-term. You'll have real tools to back that up, including our VALD force plates and a dedicated strength and rehab space.
What we offer
- Full training on our osteoporosis prevention programme, plus ongoing CPD Mentorship from osteopaths, physios and personal trainers who genuinely want to help you grow.
- A clear path from part-time to full-time as the classes grow
- Bonus incentives tied to class and retention performance
- A team that shares knowledge generously.
What we're looking for
Sports Therapy degree required, gym experience preferred, VALD experience a big plus
Beyond the right qualifications, we're looking for someone who fits the way we work. You're personable- someone patients and colleagues warm to quickly. You bring a sense of fun to the day-to-day, without losing sight of the standard of care we hold ourselves to.
You're intuitive, able to read a room, a patient, or a team dynamic and adjust accordingly. You practise your trade with empathy, invested in the people around you- both patients and teammates. You’re full of great ideas, and are excited to bring these to the table in team meetings.
Life at Motion
We work hard for our patients, and we back each other while we do it. Across both sites, you'll find a close-knit team that shares knowledge, supports each other through tricky cases, and enjoys working together- with regular socials and team catch-ups along the way.
Devon's a great place to build a career and a life. You're twenty minutes from Dartmoor, close to the coast on both sides, and based in Exeter- a city that gives you easy access to the outdoors without sacrificing city life.
If you're looking for a fun, collaborative, down-to-earth team in a great place to live, you'll fit right in at Motion.
How to apply
If this sounds like your kind of next step, get in touch- we'd love to hear from you.
