Electronic Assembly Supervisor
We are seeking a skilled and organized Electronic Assembly Supervisor.
The job will involve overseeing all aspects of assembly operations and ensuring adherence to build and quality procedures.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical expertise in electronic assembly and a passion for team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: to supervise and carry out day to day electronic assembly, including goods in, inspection, picking, assembly, testing and calibration.
- Production Order processing: to pick components and update production orders via the ERP system on the completion of jobs.
- Quality Assurance: to follow build instructions, inspect and test assemblies, and to troubleshoot defects.
- Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and optimize workflow.
- Safety & Compliance: to enforce and follow workplace safety protocols, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls, and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: demonstration of supervisory experience in electronic assembly manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: good practical skills of soldering (thru-hole and SMT), component identification, and following work instructions.
- Qualifications: NVQ apprenticeship/higher qualification or evidence of training in electronic assembly.
- Leadership: Proven ability to work with diverse teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain high morale.
- Software: Proficiency with ERP production systems and Microsoft Office (Excel).
