We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our pop up Horsebox Café in Littlemore. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop barista skills within a dynamic environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times. Previous experience in preparing barista drinks is required. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN NOT OPERATE COMMERICAL COFFEE MACHINE. Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety standards. Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including counters, equipment, and utensils. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Provide friendly and attentive service to all customers, addressing any special requests or dietary requirements. Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold food hygiene standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required. Skills Knowledge of food safety procedures and best practices in a food service environment. Ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining a warm and professional demeanour. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Competence in food preparation tasks with attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Strong organisational skills to keep the workspace clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
