Chef – Full Time
Pay: £13.00 to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week)
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team in a busy, fast-paced kitchen. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a high-energy environment and takes pride in producing quality food while maintaining high kitchen standards.
Our kitchen focuses on fresh pub food, prepared and served in a busy bar and restaurant environment.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen and be confident working efficiently during busy service periods. Experience working in a high-volume kitchen is essential, and at times you may be required to manage the kitchen independently during quieter services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Food preparation and setup ahead of service
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Ordering and managing stock levels
- Completing required kitchen paperwork and records
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen
- Following all food safety and health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef or Line Cook in a similar environment
- Experience working in a high-volume kitchen
- Ability to stay organised and work efficiently under pressure
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player
Working Hours
- 30 to 40 hours per week
- Must be fully flexible
- Includes evenings and weekends
